Yoga
Hey everyone! This week we'll be talking about yoga. Yoga is an amazing form of exercise with many benefits. Yoga will increase your flexibility, increase muscle strength and tone, improve respiration, energy and vitality. Some people have stigmas about yoga, that it isn't a great workout, or it's not much of a workout. To those people I say "YOUR WRONG!".
One of the hardest workouts I've ever participated in was a yoga session. The reason being that my body wasn't accustomed to holding these different positions, and focusing on my breathing all at the same time. I found that during a yoga workout my body was really engaging my core. Everything required a tight core and good posture.
I also found myself very relaxed and calm once I got passed the struggle of the positions. You really start to feel as if you're in your own place, and theres a nothingness about it that is very calming. Below I have a few
pictures of some different poses you can try out. I'd also recommend to just go on YouTube and look up some videos. There are tons of free videos on it, and theres no reason you need to sign up for a class or buy anything if that presents concern. Be better than you were yesterday!
