Water
This week I'll be explaining the importance of water. Now I know we all understand that water is important and that we cannot survive without it, but I will be telling you why it is important from an exercise point of view. One reason water is important, is because it regulates body temperature. This is important because you don't want to overheat during your workout, that could cause serious risk to your health. Water also lubricates your joints. Having lubricated joints is important because it will allow you to move much easier and not have possible joint pain. Water helps transport nutrients to give you energy and keep you healthy. If you're not hydrated, your body can't perform at its highest level. You may feel tired, have muscle cramps, dizziness, or other serious symptoms.
The recommended daily amount of water is about 64 ounces a day. That isn't bad and is probably better than most people drink daily. If your goal is to be the best athlete or to perform at your highest level I recommend trying to consume a gallon of water, or as close to a gallon as you can. Drinking a gallon of water a day will have amazing effects on your health and physique. So do your best and remember to drink water. Be better than you were yesterday.
