Recovery & Sleep

Today's topic is short, but very important. Today we will be talking about recovery & sleep. When doing exercise and training it is very important to take care of your body. One of the best ways to do that is recovery & sleep. You might be asking, what do you mean by recovery? When I say recovery I mean  doing things that will help your body to get over being sore. So things like foam rolling and ice baths. Two very simple things that may be very uncomfortable, but will play a pivotal role in recovery. Sleep is also very important in recovery, but also very important in the building of muscle. After a hard workout muscles tear, and begin to rebuild with protein, this process especially occurs when the body is asleep. I would recommend 6-8 hours of sleep a night as a goal. That is why sleep is so important. So make sure you are doing your best to recover and get a decent amount of sleep. It can really help your overall health and physique. Be better than you were yesterday!
