Core

Today we will be talking about the importance of exercising your core. Core exercise is VERY important. Its not all about having six pack abs, and just because you don't see abs doesn't mean  you lack core strength and muscle. Regardless of what your goals are you should be exercising your core. Core exercise is great for athletes, because it improves balance and stability.

Today I'll be showing you guys three exercises I do at the end of every workout. I do them in a circuit so it's rapid fire, which means one after the other. This makes the muscles work a lot harder, and you can really feel the movements a lot more. The first exercise is the Russian twist. The Russian twist is great for stimulating the core muscles and specifically hitting the oblique area of the core.

The next exercise I'll show you is straight leg sit-ups. These are an amazing movement for working the core. The main function of your abdominal muscles are to bend the spine. So keeping your legs straight is key thus allowing the body to be completely straight, and allowing you to get the most out of the bend of the spine. These are an excellent movement.

The last movement I'll be showing is crunches. Crunches will be the last exercise in your circuit. They will target the entire core, and you will especially feel it in your upper core.

For all of these movements do 3 sets for 10 reps, back to back for your circuit. Do them at the end of all of your workouts, and I promise you will see results and have a much stronger core. Be better than you were yesterday!
