Eating & Diet
A big
part of my journey was diet. Diet is one of the best things you can do to take
care of yourself when it comes to losing weight, keeping a healthy mind and
body, and maintaining the physique you want.
If you
are someone who is trying to lose weight my advice for you would be to know how
many calories your body runs on a day and know your macronutrients. There are
plenty of apps out there that can help you learn this information; I currently
use Lifesum. (You can find Lifesum on IOS and Android). Once you have
calculated your calories and macros the main thing you want to do to lose
weight is to always be in a caloric deficit. This way your body isn't getting
the maximum calories it usually does causing the body to have less food to
burn, and causing it to burn more fat.
As far
as foods to eat, I'd recommend a balanced diet. One consisting of
carbohydrates, proteins, and fats as your main macros. Your app will tell you
how much of each of these categories you should be consuming throughout the
day. I also recommend lots of fruits and vegetables because of how much more of
them you can eat and fill up on, rather then eating junk food, which will fill
your calorie count quicker, not to mention the plus of all the nutritional
value of fruits and vegetables. You're ALLOWED to eat a slice of pizza, you're
ALLOWED to have chips, you're ALLOWED to eat sweets. Just don't go crazy. Think
of your goal; to eat mostly good whole foods with only a few not so good foods.
Diet
will play a main role in your body’s transformation. Don't cheat yourself. Give
your body the calories it deserves. Don't skip meals because it will not help you.
Make sure to get 3 meals a day with the best nutrition possible. I hope you
